On an unrelated note, does anyone know of a service that's similar to Photobucket but...not Photobucket? Basically, I'm looking for a service that allows public album viewings, gallery-style displays and bulk uploads. Pretty much the old Photobucket sans recent developments re: size, bandwidth and quality. Any suggestions would be awesome! ♥

This post is actually only a part of an originally bigger set I had in mind but I'm not very fond of making a very big post especially on graphics since that's going to take up a lot of bandwidth and cache and loading time so I tend to prefer the smaller posts. And, although I had intended to make more graphics today, Restaurant City (YES LOL I play that shit and ilit) released new features yesterday! So I think Imma take a quick break from PS to waste away in it. ♥ (And I just want to say that I wouldn't have bothered with the second Toshiya icon in the Dir set if he didn't look like Doc Manhattan in it. >.>;;)

Also, if you want to find out how the coloring/lighting of Icon no. 10 in the Dir set was done, I made a tutorial of it right here! :D

It's that time of the year again, gyz, wherein I shall be off and away from the city for a couple of days! They say most likely, we'll be there for around a week this time. :O So I guess you guys can look at this as a temporary-parting gift of sorts and I would have prepared something better if the news didn't arrive in short notice (and by short notice, I mean yesterday, I was told we'd be leaving on Monday and then suddenly, we might be leaving tomorrow. D:)

I intended to release more graphics along with these icons and wallpaper but if I push with that, I'm afraid I'll have to delay the release for a week and based on my experience, that usually just...leaves the graphics to stagnate in my HD. >.>;; If I'd had more time, as well, I swear this temp-parting post would not redundantly be of GLAY and Dir en grey alone but I swear, when I come back, I will prepare for a big non-fandom post.

Or at least, a post without GLAY or Dir. >.>;;

I had wanted to make more GLAY icons but life is a disabler! First, my photoshop crashes my PC for the third time then my explorer randomly froze and then there was a quick loss of power in the neighborhood and all those happened while I was doing GLAY icons. >.> So I think I will just...take it as a sign to just finish everything in another icon batch?!

An early Christmas present of sorts?? Minus the Dir en grey wallpaper that is and I had originally planned for this to be released along with a Miyavi icon set and another texture set but with the way things are going with my school life, I may have to postpone both until my Christmas break. D: So for now, here's part 1 of my supposed release!

D:), I finally managed to right the wrong! :DDD I knew I couldn't get SID perfectly in one go... >.>;; Anyway, Santa Yuuya is up now!)

These are just some of the bands that I and dammitliz listen to (who I basically used as a basis (i.e. "Who else does Liz listen to...?") so I don't come out with just...9mm, Dir and GLAY. XD I'm not sure if anyone's already done it but I thought it'd be fun and it was actually more challenging than I'd prepared for it to be, lol. Implanting the santa hat onto their heads is easy enough but it's the picture hunting and more so, the name matching that made it a little more difficult. >.>;; So if you're looking for someone in particular and found that he's either misnamed (I am eyeing the 9mm boys as well as SID's Shinji and Yuya >.>;;), one J-rocker was double-iconned for the J-rocker you want or I completely neglected to icon him (which is likely if the band isn't 9mm, Dir or GLAY), just comment with your complaints! :D

For that matter and since Christmas really is all about unity, peace and harmony right?? The campaign doesn't end with Yuya(??)! If you have anyone you want iconned with a santa hat drilled into their heads, just comment with their name, band, and I'd love it if you added a picture of theirs -- the more recent, the better, the more they face front, the better. Pictures are also desired to be in normal lighting -- aka, no black and white, sepia tone, icey shades, etc because it'll make my life easier. XDDD

Also, I iconned whole bands and not like, just four members of a five-man band so unless specified, the Nao and the Kai you see here are, indeed, the Nao and the Kai that you think they are (by referring to the band list up there). Furthermore, some santa hats might look awkward and Kyo's was done on purpose. >.>;; If you want them redone, just comment. ♥

Really sorry for the sudden absence! I did NaNoWriMo this month so that sort of sucked me into a void and I am now just able to make graphics and post since I've just finally finished my novel (yes, I pretty much just won thar :DDD). Reasons for yet another update:
1.) I completely forgot that I wanted to do 9mm icons because that band? You guys ought to watch out for that band.
2.) I am still in a bit of a Dir en grey high. I thought it's been some time since I played with colors, too, so yeah. Hopefully they didn't come out to look like radioactive rockers with burning hair and citrus skin.
3.) I wanted to finish a GLAY set (like...remember the story about the scans? Well, there were three books scanned and this GLAY Story is the last one I hadn't done icons for so...).

Two weeks from now, school re-opens for me...I guess that's also one reason.

I didn't want to post this last night 'cause I was stressing over school and no matter how much it bears truth, I didn't want it to seem like I'm not doing everything to lighten up my stress. >.>;; But I did some good things today -- things to lighten up my stress so I think it's good enough a reason to post this with.

'Suikoden II' was one of the first games I've ever played in my old but faithful and humble PlayStation 1 and it has also left one of the heaviest impressions on me along with Final Fantasy VII and Wild ARMs 1. I've never played any other Suikoden games, though, aside from the first (which I finished within three days, all 108 Stars of Destiny inclusive) and the second but one day, I was in a nostalgic mood and Suikoden II really made me long for those days. So I started saving images -- and then made icons. Now, I have never played Genso Suikogaiden and have only read its summaries but well, I guess as long as I finished Suikoden II (all endings found), that's enough, right?

And of course, the eternal Dir en grey. XD Well, I found some nice shots of theirs in the OHP and decided to do something about them sooo...
