55 - Inception icons

Wow, my last post was almost five months ago! How embarrassing. And I used to update this thing in a heartbeat!

Anyway, long story short, I got a job late May and it, as well as my other hobbies, has been eating up most of my time this late. It doesn't help that I hadn't really found anything I wanted to icon until Inception came along and yet I took a month to finish the whole set, too! Still reeling from my change of pace.

November's coming in soon, too. Let's hope I get another post in before that happens. ♥

But it was just that I really enjoyed Glee's Madonna ep and wanted to make icons to tribute to it and decided to throw in an Akazukin Chacha set because I'm nowhere close to the end of that series yet. >.>;; What I ended up with is another two-parter post.

Figures that I reserved the right to be verbose until this post came and yes, that is not a '1', it is a '3'. This set is actually composed of three posts, the first two being occupied by 40 animated banners of Glee's "Vogue" PV (performed mainly by the talented Jane Lynch). I hid them from the flist, though, to prevent spamming. Anyway, here is the rest of the set:

WARNING: Image heavy. And if some images don't work as well as you'd hoped they would, keep reloading. I re-upload as I go along. But if they still don't work after 10 reloads, let me know by commenting.

Update (2010 April 17): Because you can't really trust Imageshack or Tinypic, I decided to upload the animated graphics here. So, if in the future, they just failed, all you need to do is to get the URL and find it in the folder. Convenient! :D

Also, added a new Sue icon. I didn't see the double until late. >.>;;

So yes, I do watch Glee and I did enjoy that latest PV they released of Sue Sylvester (played by Jane Lynch) re-enacting (and covering) Madonna's "Vogue". And that's what these three posts are going to be all about now.

Sorry! No graphics post today but as a volunteer graphic artist, I feel I need to do this:

help_haiti
help_haiti is a community where fandom can help Haiti! Basically, you offer your skills as a writer, a beta, a graphic artist (in my case), a video maker, a cook, a crochet maker or anything you can think of and someone is going to bid on your services. Whoever wins the bidding will get a requested item for you and whatever amount they promised will be donated to one of the organizations that will help Haiti. So for example, you could totally write a Dir en grey smut fic or make an FF7 AMV for 15 dollars and that 15 dollars is going to help Haiti one way or another. How amazing is that?

I'm really excited about this project and hope terribly I can help. I guess it makes sense that I should pimp my offering post and if anyone is willing to take up the offer, then awesome. Those people out there absolutely need every help they can get.

On the other hand, if you prefer not to throw your money away by entrusting your fancy on me, there are literally hundreds of other offers you could choose from. Just go here to find them all and I've seen some famous LJ names pitching in their own talent and if I had the money, I would have totally jumped on their offers.

If you've got time, and if you've got money to spare, I think this is a nice option to consider spending them in. :)

After nine weeks of disappearing with thanks to NaNoWriMo, school, laziness and distractions, it is no wonder I could not come up with a more festive (as in holidays) post. :D Still, happy holidays to everyone! ♥
